Studies of nonresonant Higgs pair production at electron-proton colliders

The measurement of the Higgs quartic coupling modifier between a boson pair and vector pair, ?2V, is expected to be achieved from vector-boson fusion (VBF) production pair. However, this process involves another unmeasured parameter, trilinear self-coupling ??. A sensitivity analysis should target both parameters. Since LHC cannot avoid gluon pollution, which becomes severe for non-SM ??, an electron-proton collider more appropriate comprehensive measurement. In regard, we study VBF in bb¯bb¯ final state at LHeC FCC-he. Performing detailed using simulated dataset, devise search strategy specialized FCC-he give prediction ?2V We find that two colliders have high potential: has similar exclusion prospects as HL-LHC; extremely efficient, excluding parameter space outside ?2V?[0.8,1.2] ???[1,2.5] 95% C.L. total luminosity 10 ab?1 10% uncertainty on background yields.
